Nan Braunton (died between 1971and 1975) was a British actress best known for playing Cissy Godfrey in the BBC comedy Dads Army.It is claimed that in her youth Braunton was the nanny to the brothers Jack, Barry and Roger Livesey who called her Nan and who as adults persuaded her to try acting, she therefore came into the profession later in life, making her film d?but in 1953 in Will Any Gentleman…?.
